Product Overview:
Umbrella Head Roofing Nails are the global standard for securing corrugated roofing sheets, plastic panels, and metal tiles to timber purlins. Characterized by their unique umbrella-shaped head, these nails are specifically designed to bridge the ridges of corrugated materials. The wide, curved head provides a massive clamping force and, when combined with a rubber or plastic washer, creates an effective waterproof seal that prevents leaks and resists uplift in high-wind conditions.
Manufacturing & Technology:
Head-Shank Integration: The "Umbrella" head is cold-forged onto the shank to ensure it never detaches under structural stress.
Shank Engineering: Available in Smooth Shank for easy driving or Twisted/Screw Shank for maximum withdrawal resistance in softwood. The twisted profile acts like a screw, "locking" into the wood fibers.
Surface Protection: Primarily finished with Hot-Dipped Galvanizing to provide a thick, metallurgical-bonded zinc layer ($240\text{g/m}^2+$) that withstands decades of exposure to rain and humidity.
Washer Assembly: Often pre-assembled with EVA or EPDM washers. These washers compress upon installation to seal the hole against moisture and accommodate thermal expansion of the roofing sheets.
