1. Product Overview
Steel Grating is an open-grid structural component integrated by load-bearing flat bars and cross bars, joined at their intersections via welding or locking. Known for its high load-bearing capacity, light self-weight, and superior anti-slip properties, it is the standard choice for industrial platforms, walkways, and drainage covers. It provides excellent ventilation, light penetration, and "self-cleaning" drainage for liquids and debris.
2. Manufacturing & Craftsmanship
Our steel grating is manufactured using high-precision automated equipment to ensure structural consistency:
Press-Welding (Pressure Welding): Utilizing high-voltage resistance welding machines, the cross bars (usually twisted square steel) are hydraulically pressed into the load bars. This creates a fused, single-piece intersection that is incredibly rigid.
Press-Locking: The cross bars are notched and pressed into the load bars under high pressure, resulting in a clean, aesthetic finish often used in architectural applications.
Binding (Edge Sealing): The ends of the grating are sealed with flat bars of the same specification to enhance lateral stability and safety.
Hot-Dipped Galvanizing: Post-fabrication, the grating is submerged in a450{°C} zinc bath, forming a thick, metallurgical-bonded protective layer against corrosion.
3. Key Technical Advantages
High Strength-to-Weight Ratio: Offers significant load capacity with much less material than solid steel plating.
Slip Resistance: Available with serrated edges for environments prone to oil, ice, or moisture.
Easy Installation: Can be quickly fixed using specialized saddle clips or welding, minimizing onsite labor.
Longevity: Hot-dipped galvanization provides a maintenance-free service life of 30+ years in most industrial environments.
